Power Music users discussion network

The same questions seem to keep cropping up from time to time so I thought it would be an idea to have a 'Tips and tricks' section here so that you can add your own.
Some of these will be covered in the FAQ page, but if not maybe this discussion will help you.

How to size your chord sheets correctly
Some people have said that they have entered a chord sheet in the Chord Sheet Editor, or have copied and pasted from an existing word processor, and everything looks fine until they display full screen - then the text is tiny and unreadable.
This is because Power Music automatically sizes the text so that it fits the screen, so the longer your song, the smaller it gets. The solution is to enter page breaks. This is really easy - in the Chord Sheet Editor postion your cursor where you want a page break and press the Page Break button:

Next, use the Pages per screen setting to decide how many pages you want to see at once. eg. if you set this to 2, then you will have a 2-column chord sheet.
Press the Preview button to test, and continue to edit until your display is the way you want it.
Another important thing to remember - The font size is adjusted according to the longest page of the song, so if you wonder why the first page is small when there is plenty of space, check the size of your other pages in the song.

A handy tip for those candle-lit carol services:
An obvious advantage of using Power Music is that you don't need extra lighting in a dark hall. However, sometimes when you are not playing you don't want to be enveloped in the glow from your screen. Did you know that you can press 'B' (case insensitive) in full screen mode to blank the screen? Press any key or move the mouse to restore the screen.
